SESAME STREET IS FOR LOSERS. I'm a big fan of Loser's Lounge, the series of pop star tributes that usually take place at the Fez nightclub in the East Village. Some of my favorite Loser's Lounge salutes were the funny-serious evenings devoted to Prince, Elvis Costello, and Burt Bacharach.

The next Loser's Lounge event will be a little unusual. It'll take place during the day, not at night. It'll take place at Symphony Space, not a nightclub. But Loser's Lounge Sings Classic Sesame Street should still be a lot of fun--for the whole family!

Just don't expect booze to be served--if you want to sneak sips, you'll have to smuggle your Elmo flask past security!

Loser's Lounge Sings Classic Sesame Street is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26.
