LET US NOW PRAISE INFAMOUS BOOKS. In recognition of Banned Books Week, let's celebrate all the great books that have been banned or "challenged" (as the American Library Association puts it) at one point or another.

Just to name some of them:
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl
The Art of Love
The Bell Jar
Black Like Me
Brave New World
Candide
Catch-22
The Chocolate War
A Clockwork Orange
The Decameron
Down These Mean Streets
Lady Chatterley's Lover
Lolita
(now celebrating its 50th birthday)
Lord of the Flies
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
The Scarlet Letter
Slaughterhouse-Five
To Kill a Mockingbird
Tropic of Cancer
Tropic of Capricorn
Women in Love
They're all worth reading. Just don't expect to be corrupted by them.

Got any banned books you'd like to recommend?

Harry Potter is currently the most banned book in America. Damn you, Muggles!
