GAWKER GIVES GOOD BUZZ TO WOODY! I just came back from Gawker, where the good buzz for Woody Allen's soon-to-be-released Match Point just went up a notch. For the most part, the item as posted is well written, with a well-timed jump after "So how was it?" And the "woody" references are well-handled. But towards the end of the piece there are couple of things that, er, stand out like nuts bulging out of a threadbare Speedo?
Most of all, though, there’s not the usual cast and not the usual characters. No Allen, no Alda, no Tony Robbins. No Mia, no Dian(n)es Keaton or Wiest. And not a Jew, at all. In the cast or on the screen.
First nut: Tony Robbins? Try the great Tony Roberts (slotted to appear in this winter's Broadway revival of Barefoot in the Park with George...I mean, Jill Clayburgh, Amanda Peet, and Patrick Wilson.)

Second nut: In the cast or on the screen? Do we have to pick just one?

No big deal, really.....
