ROOTING FOR THE REDS. The gardens at SUNY Farmingdale are in flux this fall (they're "working gardens," after all), but some of the reds last weekend were outstanding.
The red tree pictured below was in a very well-tended corner of the garden, close to the entry gate. Across from it was a pine tree with two-colored needles that seemed to glow.
Peppers sparkled in these rows.
