SOME GOOD NEWS FROM DC. Marc Robarge is an old friend who creates wonderful sculptures, so I'm happy to note that one of his works, Natal Star, is on display as part of the OPTIONS 2005 WPA/C Exhibition on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown in Washington, DC. (Perhaps you've heard of DC — it's that place south of Manhattan where taxpaying citizens still don't have voting representatives in Congress.) Marc will appear at the show on Saturday, November 5, from noon to 4:00 pm.

You can see a picture of Natal Star by scrolling past the halfway mark in this review by Lenny Campello, who deems Marc's "visually attractive and interesting" work as a show highlight. The Washington Post's Michael O'Sullivan ranks Marc among the "wonderful artists" represented in the exhibition.

Here's a photo of another work by Robarge: Something Wild.

Of course, photos are no substitutes for actual sculptures. I'd love to see Marc's closer to home, indoors and outdoors.
