That's how a lady can lose her teaching job, but it's also what you can do at the art installation Tantamounter 24/7, running round-the-clock until — oh crap — tomorrow at 10 pm! Apparently the apparatus will then become a mere shell of itself, viewable at the Leo Koenig Gallery until December 3.

thanks for the shout-out david! a friend of mine has now gone twice to tantamounter and suggested that the more strange the object you give them, the better the result. it's like the "machine" enjoys the challenge...
The NYTimes has an article about it today with some pictures. I'm sorry I missed it. It sure looks rather sweet in some ways.
