DUTCH TREATS. So what have Dutch artists been doing lately? I mean, besides drawing those Mohammed pictures? It seems that at least some of them have been creating charming illustrations for children's books that are unlikely to provoke any riots anywhere.

The anthropomorphic animals and big-butted humans of the free exhibition Dutch Treats: Contemporary Illustrations from The Netherlands end their stay at The UBS Art Gallery in New York on Friday, February 24, 2006.

Featured artists (check 'em out!) include Dick Bruna, Yvonne Jagtenberg, Jan Jutte, Thé Tjong-Khing, and Fiep Westendorp.
