NEWS FROM JONATHAN AMES. Newly available from writer-performer Jonathan Ames: the essay collection I Love You More Than You Know. Writes Jonathan: "I don't think it will cause any James Frey-like scandal, but I am worried that my testicle is exposed on the front cover of the book, which features a picture of me in my boxer-shorts running down a road from something fearful."

Jonathan will soon hit the road on a new book tour that kicks off on Tuesday evening, February 6, 2006 at Brooklyn's BookCourt. Then it's off to DC, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Berkeley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Pasadena, then New York, Albany, and Toronto, and then New York and, of course, Newton, Massachusetts on March 23 (still 2006).

His new essay, "I Am Not Your Average Family," is at The Morning News. It's about apartment cleaning...a subject that's close to home.

There's a new Dean Haspiel caricature of Ames online.

And Jonathan predicts that his audio recordings of I Love You More Than You Know, Wake Up, Sir!, and What's Not to Love? will be available soon, to be followed by the rest of his books.
