NO BUSINESS LIKE SNOW BUSINESS. Do you live near a New York City theater that's home to a show you'd like to see? Then take note: Snowstorms provide good opportunities to get good tickets at the spur of the moment.

And you know the popular play The Little Dog Laughed at the Second Stage Theatre? Ben Brantley calls it a "tangy new fable of fame and its discontents." And Michael Feingold has high praise for star Julie White, who is slotted to be interviewed on WNYC's The Leonard Lopate show on Wednesday around noon. The play's run has been extended through February 26, 2006. If you happen to be a card-carrying member of WNYC, you can get a 30% discount on Second Stage tickets. (The Box Office hasn't been clear about this, but it's true.)

Weather Watch: Right now NY1 is predicting up to twelve inches of snow (and emphasizing the "twelve inches" aspect of it). But the station's website is still headlining a prediction from yesterday that the city might actually get no more than four inches of the cold white stuff.
