Um...I'm sorry, but that's asking a lot of me. I haven't even figured out where Naomi and Liviu live.

Cold!

Welcome to the winner's circle, Gary! The location is indeed Top of the Rock, the reopened observation deck at Rockefeller Center. And yes, Scott, the Radio City antennae sure look like you could roast some food on 'em. The shiny stuff is a glitzy interior wall.

Those of you who checked out Blog About Town's previous coverage of this attraction might recall a tip about the availability of twofers that effectively cut the $14 fee in half. I just managed to take advantage of that discount before it ran out, on a beautiful and warm March night right after 70, Girls, 70 at Encores! There were no crowds, so my party had no trouble getting in and checking out the multi-media "orientation" exhibit before taking the Wonkaesque elevator to the 70th Floor. That's right: 70, folks, 70!

The view from TopRock is outstanding--high enough that it seems like you're looking at the Empire State Building head on, and low and central enough to do justice to the still respectable size of the smaller surrounding buildings. I also admired the lights of Queens, which flickered against the darkness like gold jewelry spread over black velvet.

The staff at TopRock was exceptionally friendly, almost eerily so. The one disappointment was that the "safety officers" (or whatever they're called) successfully shooed us away form the summit about 30 minutes before the midnight closing time. They were very friendly at all times, but they shouldn't have done that.

Hey David,

Thanks for these they are fun. I prefer the picture format over the puzzle format so that is my choice.

I wish I had surfed to your site when you had only your first picture of the Top of the Rock because I knew it as soon as I saw it. I took almost the exact same picture when I visited the TotR.
