Were you at the Top of the Rock ticket booth that is on the concourse leve? I seem to recall near there were these crystal-like things that were hanging on wires and you could look up at them.
well, being more specific with the help of google, were you looking up at the Swarovski crystal chandelier at the Top of the Rock ticket area on the concourse level?
Way to go, Gary--this is the second time you've secured a win with your knowledge of Top of the Rock, the observatory deck at Rockefeller Center!
I was underneath the glittering glass Swarovski hanging in the underground portion of the lobby. The RockTop personnel explained that, from the side, one can see that the crystals form an inverted outline of the NBC Building. But the view from below is pretty smashing in itself!

Leave your guesses here, O ye players of Where Was I?
HHGTTG?
The Sky Mirror?
Hey--it's another Other Dave! Welcome!!
But no, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy does not count as a Big Apple location....
Debbie, the Sky Mirror is warm!
were you in rockefeller center?
Yes, but again, specificity counts.
The glass wall/sculpture down by the American Festival Cafe?
You know...I don't think so. (I'm not sure what you mean, Debbie, but it doesn't sound right.)
New Clue: It's basically a location previously covered in WWI!
