THIS AIN'T NO MUDD CLUB! I hear that the next Loser's Lounge tribute will be a salute to Elton John, but in the meantime there's this: On Thursday at 9 pm, the Losers return to CBGB (just days before the storied club goes down its own wretched toilet) for another Talking Heads show featuring Rene Risque, Michael Cerveris, Joe Hurley, Bjorn TuRoque, David Driver, Wilder Selzer, Katia, Jana Peri, Jenni Muldaur, Jedediah Parish, Anney Fresh, David Mosey, Natalie Weiss & Jason McMahon, Sean Altman, Victoria Liedtke, Joanna Choy, Wendy Ip, Nick Danger, and Royce Peterson.

Three of my favorite performances on Saturday were Wilder Selzer's spastic Drugs, Natalie Weiss & Jason McMahon's neo-Beat Creatures of Love, and Joanna Choy's Naive Melody (backed by Connie Petruk and Tricia Scotti). Here's a picture of that.
