You were at the ob/gyn and had an ultrasound done. Congratulations, it looks like you're having a rabbit!!
You're warmer than you probably realize!
It's the opposite, and you were on your death bed, and a small woman with a strange voice was saying "go to the light david marc fisher... go to the light" and you went and it turned out to be Mr. Happy?
Well, now you're just being silly, Scott!
Were you at a hospital?
Not for this, Debbie.
Well, you certainly have me intrigued with your answer to Debbie's VERY FUNNY first guess. I wish i were so clever, but because I am not, were you in Manhattan?
Of course, Gary. Where else did you think I could be--in the Bronx?
Would that be the belly button on a sculpture of a pregnant woman?
(Perhaps WWI should be renamed to WPS? Which Public Sculpture?)
In the lobby of the Time Warner Center?
Is it on a floor?
FYI, There's some cool sculptures on this list.
I combine with David and Scott. Were you looking at the belly button of the sculpture of the woman by Botero in the lobby of the Time Warner Building?
I agree with this possibility, but am getting a little sick of Botero and the Time Warner Center.
Where to begin? This "consensus" that seems to have formed is warm but not quite there yet.
Chef, I think you're a little on the cool side. Try again!
Dave, I hope you feel better soon. Don't blame me if you're sick of the Time Warner Center! And that link of yours? I suspect the URL isn't what you wanted to share with us.
The belly button of the male Botero statue?
Cooler.
So it isn't a big bronze belly button?
And here's a better link to the strange sculpture list.
Actually, David, it is a big bronze belly button (though I retain some doubts about the bronze aspect).
Is it that creepy Damien Hirst sculpture at the Lever House?
No...but good for you for thinking outside the Time Warner box!
And heck: Between you and the TW people, you might be onto something!
Were you below 42nd St.?
No, Gary.
Were you at the Marlborough Gallery on 57th St? Do they have a Botero sculpture there (along with his Abu Ghraib paintings) of a pregnant woman?
Very, very warm...but I want this one finessed!
big brass/bronze buddha belly button?
Is it a sculpture by Magdalena Abakanowicz at the Marlborough Gallery on their outdoor terrace sculpture area? Were you AT the Marlborough Gallery on W. 57th St.??
David: Beautiful b barrage!
Debbie: You just got slightly cooler. I wasn't exactly at the Marlborough Gallery--I'm sorry I didn't answer that directly. And I'm sorry to give you a hard time about this....
In the passageway by the Marlborough Gallery, between 57th and 56th. Closer to 57th St. Thanks to gallery expert Eric!!
Congrats, Debbie, for doggedly locating me at the site of Botero's Female Torso (1982)--not in the Marlborough Gallery, but in a passageway by the entryway to the building that's home to the Marlborough, itself home to Botero's Abu Ghraib series through November 18.
Thanks, everyone, for putting up with my stickleriness on this one! As you can see from the Bonus Photo, a plate identifies the work as "on loan" from the Marlborough--so it didn't feel right to claim it was at the gallery.
And let me assure you: It was an agonizing predicament.
