CARTOON CAPTION/ANTI-CAPTION CONTESTS CONTINUE!

Today New York becomes the second state to go "double digit," narrowing California's lead to a mere two points as the Golden State's dry spell hits the twenty-week mark.

The New York winner in Caption Contest #73 (businessman on phone with businessman lying at his feet) is Brooklyn's own Colin Nissan with
"Carol, let's go ahead and keep the job posted for a little while longer."
Nine out of ten of New York's wins are from the Big Apple.

Two-thirds of the nominees in Caption Contest #75 (board meeting around grand piano) are also from New York City.
"And all because of the account that got awa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay ..."
Jayadev Browne (New York, NY)

"Hmm. What rhymes with layoffs?"
Carl Gable (Norcross, GA)

"Some of you may be aware that I have been taking piano lessons."
Susan Shriver (New York, NY)
My loser:
"Here's one of my favorite proposals--and I hope it's one of yours, too."

Over at Anti-Caption Contest #75, the winner is
"It's been a good year for us here at Consolidated Giant Oven Mitt & Microphone, a good year indeed."
TG Gibbon

At Anti-Caption Contest #76 (Native American preparing to fire arrow-with-warhead at fort), the nominees are
"I dunno. I'm glad for the paycheck and the SAG card, but I still think Michael Bay's decision to remake 'The New World' is a stupid fucking idea."
Tim C.

"Glad you asked. I call it an ICB-um."
Vance

"Of course I'm upset. Their people killed the herds of bison for sport, stole our land, and wiped out entire tribes with smallpox."
RichM
My losers:
"Who's minding the fort?"

"Are you sure this is how they play badminton?"
