Were you in Manhattan?

David Marc Fischer said...

Yes!

A phone booth in Times Square?

Scott said...

Penn Station?

David Marc Fischer said...

Scott's warmer!

Jacob Javits?

David Marc Fischer said...

Jacob Javits? He's not here right now....

I think Scott's still warmest.

Is it the call center at the USO in Times Square?

Anonymous said...

Specifically at Port Authority in Times Square.

David Marc Fischer said...

Sorry, Dolph. Scott is still warmest.

Scott said...

Are you on 32nd and Broadway?

David said...

Grand Central Station. There used to be a special bank of telephones there, a hold-over from when phoning was a singular act.

David Marc Fischer said...

I think I'd still give Scott the warmness edge here.

Herald Center?

David Marc Fischer said...

No, Debbie.

Remember: One can have the warmest guess so far...and still be lukewarm.

Scott said...

Is it a PATH station? For location, I'll say 14th street.

David Marc Fischer said...

No, but you're getting warmer, Scott.

Is it the new loo way downtown?

Anonymous said...

Or ... how about the new Charmin loo at 46th Street and 7th Avenue?

David Marc Fischer said...

No, Dolph--it's no new loo.

Anonymous said...

Is it back down in the South Street Seaport area?

David Marc Fischer said...

Much warmer, Debbie.

The relatively new Staten Island ferry terminal?

Scott said...

26 Wall Street, the newly renovated Federal Hall Visitor Center?

Gary, you are correct! I was at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal (as part of my trip to the Staten Island Zoo) when I noticed the interior signage lining the building's interior. You can see two examples here.

As was the case with the old terminal, the new terminal also shelters some birds. I almost had a good shot of a bird in a water drinking fountain but I didn't quite pull it off.

Incidentally, it's a good thing that Manhattan was already ascertained. Otherwise we might've had a sticky hint situation.

One more thing: Take a look at
this page. Isn't the image a poor choice?

I can't believe I missed your blogging about my home boro. I immediately recognized your shots of the SI Zoo & the Manhattan side of the SI ferry terminal, but alas I haven't been reading your blog daily. A lesson learned! And why does the image of the ferry appear to be crashing??? How horrible...
