WHERE WAS I? It's the return of What's In The Box?--with an extra twist. If you're the first to get it right--and you get it right this Sunday--you get a bonus point!
As usual, it's in the five boroughs. Leave your guesses in the comments section.

A squirrel in Central Park?
A turtle?
Debbie, it's Central Park but not a squirrel.
Scott? A turtle? You bet your sweet ass it ain't!
I'm going to continue with the life-form guesses and say a duck.
Sometimes the answer is right in front of you, goes an old puzzle adage. So: is it some sort of work apparel and/or uniform?
Bben
Sorry, Gary--it's not a duck.
Nice try, Bben--but it's not work apparel and/or a uniform.
Wasn't there a comic strip character called B-bomb?
Is it a piece of 2006?
Baby New Year?
A cat?
Debbie...if it's any help...I took the picture in 2006.
And no, Scott, it's not Baby New Year. Father Time wouldn't allow it.
Dave: Of course not! The cat's in the hat!!
A Mammal in Manhattan?
It's not a mammal.
Pigeon?
No, not a pigeon.
Nothing? The box is empty?
The box is not empty, Debbie. And it contains more than just air.
Snake?
No, Dave...that was in the grass.
Bird at the zoo?
Not at the zoo....
Hawk near the boat pond?
Was there a living thing in the box?
David, I'd written an answer to your guess but it didn't go through....
So: It's not a hawk by the boat pond.
I'm also asking that everyone refrain from compound guesses (squirrel/central park, hawk/boat pond, etc.). Please ask about one point at a time. That will help with the answers--if you were guess the right thing but in the wrong place, I could just use "no" as an answer, which would be misleading.
Heron?
No, Scott. Sorry!
As David is a huge fan both of "viral"/YouTube-blazing videos and Andy "fellow Sexy Heeb" Samberg, dare I guess that it's . . .
"(Dave's) d*ck in a box?"
If so, we'll all shudder over his reference to the "living thing" inside . . .
Gary should get partial credit for guessing "duck" . . .
Ben
Ben, I'm glad someone (you) finally made the connection...but of course you know it can't be.
The box is--ahem--too small.
Goose?
Scott, I will now have to chase you around the circle.
But no...it's not a goose.
Egret?
No, Scott--no egret. You're actually cooler now.
Is avian the correct direction of "non-mammal" thinking of what was in the box?
Yes, Gary.
Was the bird that was in the box an aquatic fowl?
Yes, Gary.
a seagull?
Thanks for the guess...but no, not a seagull.
Swan?
Well done, Scott! There's a swan in the box. And there's a little story that goes along with the swan in the box--but I think you'll have to wait until early in 2007 for that!
