A BRILLIANT IDEA? A week after Wesley Autrey became a hero by saving Cameron Hollopeter (and himself) from being hit by an onrushing subway train, I wish to share an idea that might spare more people from injury and death in the subway system. (Incidents might number in the vicinity of 1-2 per week, with more during the holiday season.)
What if subways had to enter stations s-l-o-w-l-y, as if speed bumps were in the area? Wouldn't it be easier for trains to stop and people to get out of the way? Maybe they wouldn't as noisy, too.
Your input is welcome!
