A SHOCKING STORY. Today the New York State Board of Regents may reconsider its policy regarding a "special school" that uses electric shock therapy and reportedly receives $50 million per year from New York.
Back in October, Jarrett Murphy's story "School of Shock" looked into the controversial Judge Rotenberg Center. It's in Massachusetts, but many of the pupils come from New York City. One aspect of the school that makes the education there "special" is the use of "aversive therapies.".
An online discussion followed.
