THE END OF AN ERA...AND A NEW BEGINNING! Around November 2005, I started to post on this blog at least three times a day. I did so for an assortment of reasons. Among them: I wanted to keep my visitors fully entertained, I wanted to see where the volume would take me as a blogger, I wanted to see where the volume would take this blog, and I wanted to see if I had the discipline to maintain that pace for, say, a year.

As it turned out, I maintained the streak (very rarely sneaking in a third post in a near-midnight limbo) for well over a year--often wondering whether some emergency or technical glitch (such as a Blogger SNAFU) might cut it short--until mere moments ago, when I ended it of my own, conflicted, volition.

I'm glad I managed to hit my original target and choose to end the streak myself. I've still got a daily streak going, but maybe I'll chose to end that, too--just to show I can.

In conclusion, I'd like to say phew--and thank all of you who've joined me on this mad mission!
