GREETINGS, FAITHFUL READERS! After lengthy deliberations, I have decided to make some changes here at Blog About Town.
One change relates to my email notification pattern.
I started the email notifications when I was posting sporadically. I figured the emails would spare subscribers from unnecessarily coming back to BAT in search of something new.
However, I've continued to send out notifications for every post (with few exceptions) even though I've posted frequently and regularly for months.
This has been taking up time and cluttering some (but not many) mailboxes.
In the meantime--as I understand it--some notification services, such as Bloglines, have become more available to those who want to know of updates as they occur.
So, for the time being, I plan to cut down drastically on the emails while continuing to blog on a regular basis. However, I may also cut back on some posts, finally creating a blogroll to represent a number of regularly posted links to blogs and other websites that I consider worth your attention. I've enjoyed annotating the highlights, but the main links are really so good that I'm sure you'll enjoy finding the highlights yourselves.
I hope that these moves will result in improvements to Blog About Town--or at least not cause any harm!
If you would like to comment on any of this, feel free to go to town right here in the comments section.
