CABALLÉ DAY. The great diva Montserrat Caballé turned 74 today. I treasure my memories of her Carnegie Hall recitals from the 1980s--she actually showed up! And she offered amazing hour-long encores!!

Here she is in Norma. Basically, she's praying for the return of the fellow she loves.
