Steps down to (or up from) Bethesda Fountain in Central Park?
No...but not a bad guess!
Upper Fifth Avenue around the 80's or 90's?
Ooooo...nice and warm, Debbie!
Conservatory Garden in Central Park at 105th and 5th Ave?
Hey, Dolph! Too close to Canada...but thanks for trying!
Is it an embassy?
No, Debbie, but that's not a bad guess either.
The Sacred Heart School at 91st and Fifth?
You're warmer than Dolph, Debbie.
Ukranian Institute (originally the Isaac and Mary Fletcher House) at 2 East 79th Street.
Yippee! Though it's not quite the same satisfaction if everyone else is snoozing...except for Dolph, of course.
AND...they were just filming something in there last week because I happened to pass by though I didn't know what the building was or what movie they were filming, for that matter.
Nice work, Debbie! I was at the Ukrainian Institute--you know, that beauteous neo-French Gothic mansion by Central Park, south of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's also known as the Fletcher-Sinclair House. Here's more info about it.
Thanks to Debbie and Dolph for hanging in there during this relatively quiet WWI? period!
