International arrivals at JFK...security area? That, or some Chase bank in Manhattan. Take your pick since I'm sure neither is correct!

David Marc Fischer said...

Well...Chase bank in Manhattan is the warmer of the two.

The American Crafts Museum store on 50th between Sixth and Fifth.

I think Scottie means Christie's, so that's what I'll guess and swoop.

David Marc Fischer said...

You're both fairly cool.

Below 14th?

David Marc Fischer said...

Nope!

Is this a museum?

David Marc Fischer said...

Nope!

Above 42nd in Manhattan?

Scott said...

A store?

A building lobby?

David Marc Fischer said...

No, sort of, no.

I'm sorry it was so hard, Dolph, but thanks for the guesses. Debbie is still the warmest, though!

Wait, I seem to have my geography amiss. Where could these paintings be hiding between 14th & 42nd? hmmmm

The Pavel Zouback Gallery on West 23rd Street. Pavel is a nice and chatty guy who chats with Eric on occasion. Debbie has met him as well. Eric's cousin, Jay, has bought some collages from Pavel. Such a small world!

Well, it's the Pavel Zoubok Gallery at 533 West 23rd Street...but I won't be a stickler on this one now that I've given other players a little time to gainsay and nobody seized the opportunity.

I started this one early to give players a chance to see the gallery's well-curated Joseph Cornell/Jiří Kolář show, but no one got the answer until after it ended on Saturday.

But you can have a virtual experience by fiddling around with the image URLs for the Cornells and the Kolars. Just change the numbers from 01 to 02, etc.

I agree that Pavel is a nice guy--at least that's how he came across when I asked for the gallery's cooperation on this challenge.

Now, who gets the win on this one? Scott, is it you??

Scott said...

Debbie gets the win.

Scott is being so humble, it's nauseating. He did the puzzle; we googled together; he picked the right link, hence he is the winner. But really (according to Scottie) EVERYONE's a winner on WWI?!!

David Marc Fischer said...

Oh, you kids!

Scott, it's your call.

Scott gets the point... I need every one I can get to catch up to Debbie's INCREDIBLE and REAL score.
