CARTOON CAPTION/ANTI-CAPTION CONTESTS CONTINUE!

The Nutmeg State advances into a tie for fifth place in Caption Contest 122 (P. C. Vey's judge washing dishes) with
"If the jury needs another day, they're using paper plates tomorrow."
Emily Anhalt (Guilford, CT)
Congrats to Emily, whose caption is close enough to mine—
"The jury ordered lunch from Masa."
—that I sorta feel like I earned an Honorable Mention!

It seems only a matter of time until New York ties California for first place. The nominees in Caption Contest 124 (Mike Twohy's 19 men crawling through desert in lanes) include
"I don't know about you, but I'd be willing to pitch in for a new contact lens."
Peter Moller (Syracuse, NY)
as well as
"What disease are you crawling for?"
Barney Goltz (Bellingham, WA)
and
"If we had just started wandering fifteen minutes earlier, we would have missed most of this traffic."
Dan Malmborg (Bennington, VT)
My loser:
"Maybe we should Google it."

Have you noticed any differences in the Caption Contest candidates lately? I think they got a little edgier. That might have to do with Farley Katz, described as the "new Assistant to the Cartoon Editor" back in this johnnyktoons interview from August.

Among the funny results of Anti-Caption Contest 125 (couple plus four men in suits in same bed, watching video), the winner is
"Kenneth was always bringing his work back home with him. Unfortunately his work consisted of fellating four bald businessmen on the subway."
Mo Buck
My loser:
"That Dick Clark never seems to get older! Hey, they're dropping the ball now!! Happy New Year, one and all!!!"

Caption Contest 126 is here. Anti-Caption Contest 126 is here.
