WHERE WAS I? As usual, it's somewhere in NYC. Anyone can play. Just leave your guesses in the comments section, using a distinctive moniker (not Anonymous) so we can tell you apart from the other players. Enjoy!

Remember the good ol' days when Davester used to throw out an occasional "warm" or "cold"?
Manhattan?
Yes, it's in Manhattan!
That's a good point about the good ol' days, Debster. I've been thinking about that a lot, lately. Haven't been able to do much else, in fact....

Excellent, Debbie! Extra point to the first person to tell me what's on the other side.
Five monoliths.
...and a blue ball on top of one of the monoliths.
Very good, Debbie...but what I want is what's on the other side of the object in the third photo.

Raoul Wallenberg's face?
No, Scott, although I'm sure the sculpture could be said to be GF!
And no, Debbie...but you're on the right track!

Good going, Debbie--you got it! I'll see if I can put up a clear photo soon.
Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat who is thought to have saved the lives of about 15,000 Hungarian Jews threatened by the Holocaust.
On January 17, 1945, he was arrested by the Soviet Union. His fate has remained a mystery to much of the world. In 1957, the Soviet Union announced that he had died in a prison in 1947, but the truthfulness of that announcement is not certain.
The sculpture, which is located on a street divider outside the United Nations, is in Wallenberg's honor. Apparently the stones beneath the replica of Wallenberg's briefcase came from the Jewish ghetto in Budapest as a gift from that city.
