WHERE WAS I? As usual, it's somewhere in New York City. Anyone can play; just leave your guesses in the comments using a distinct moniker so we can tell you apart from the other players. Enjoy!

A cannabis garden?
Heh. Not quite. Sorry!
Were you outside?
Mostly, I suppose, Deborah!
Bronx Botanical Garden?
Not really, Debbie.
And by the way, folks: specificity will count!
Are you in the Bronx?
The Conservatory Gardens?
Deborah, I wasn't in the Bronx.
And I wasn't back at the Conservatory Gardens, Gary.
Brooklyn Botanical Gardens?
The Japanese Gardens within the Brooklyn BG?
That's the kind of specificity I'm seeking, Gary...but it's not the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
One of the East Village community gardens?
Cold, Debbie--it's not an East Village community garden.
Central Park?
Cold, Deborah--it wasn't Central Park.
I'm sure this isn't right, but were you at the Isamu Noguchi museum?
Yes, Gary--you're not right. The Isamu Noguchi Museum is cold.
were you in the bronx?
No, Gary. The answer is still no. Not this time. It ain't da Bronx.
You can believe me, Gary. Really.
Were you in the Bronx? Wait, I take that back. Were you in Queens?
Sorry, that last guess was me.
I wasn't in Queens either, Gary!
Cloisters?
Not the Cloisters, Deborah!
Staten Island?
Warm, Gary!
The Chinese Scholars Garden on Staten Island?
You got it, Ellen--with a classic Staten Island Swoop!
Part of the Staten Island Botanical Garden, the Chinese Scholars Garden is an attractive indoor/outdoor complex that requires an entry fee except on Tuesdays from 10am-1pm.
My favorite aspect of the garden isn't pictured here. It's the sound produced by the birds and insects in a high bamboo grove just outside one of the garden walls.
Congratulations to you for exploring my home boro! The Gardens are just a ferry boat ride & quick-quick bus trip away. Hopefully they will re-open Cafe Botanica right outside of the Scholars Garden & then you can listen to my favorite sound...fruit & ice sloshing around in my glass of Sangria! And for us Celiacs the gluten-free restaurant across from the ferry - Tuttoriso - for gluten-free bread, pasta and cake, yum!
