Yesterday I ran a 3 mile race in honor of Veteran's Day - It was the 61st Veteran's Day Race on Staten Island and included Veteran's from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The Veterans and their families were thanked and given a round of applause before the race - and each Veteran received a placque commemorating their efforts in the days race. The largest round of applause was for the WWII Veteran as he crossed the finish line!
