Like many others, I thought exotica singing sensation Yma Sumac was actually Amy Camus from Brooklyn. But apparently the octave-spanning songstress was actually Zoila Augusta Emperatriz Chavarri del Castillo from Cajamarca, Peru.
And I have no idea where her arrangements came from....
