Risking charges of onanism (dating oneself), I proclaim I did see said Cramps live on October 26, 1979 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. They were a last-minute add-on opener for Talking Heads on this stop of the Fear of Music tour. (Announced opener was The A's, power-poppers from Philly?) This was the "classic" Cramps lineup featuring guitarist Bryan Gregory, the man who looked like "weasels ripped his flesh." Pathetically, I was dropped off and picked up by my parents . . .
Dude, when I think of The Cramps, I think of you. My condolences.
