it's too bad that the new structure does not provide adequate cover from rain when you are in front of the windows
As you know, I think it's absurd to expose these theatergoers to the elements. There's gotta be a better way.
I don't think it is absurd. A little rain won't hurt 'em while saving 50%. If they want comfort, use Telecharge or go directly to the indoor box offices, where often you can use a discount code.
I have waited in snow and freezing temps to save 80% for rush/SRO tickets. It's worth it!
