Did you notice that Supervixens will play Coney Island on June 30, 2007? (Maybe you were distracted by the great Pontani Sisters video.)

CONEY ISLAND CALENDAR

Coney Island is changing, changing, changing...but some things just don't seem to change. Like my Coney Island USA mailer arriving after many events have already taken place! (And this year the design for the centerfold calendar actually obliterates many forthcoming events!!) There's not much I can do about giving you advance notice of those recent events, but here are some highlights of things to come.

Su June 10 Lecture: Coney Island in Three Dimensions (4 pm, Coney Island Museum)
Sa June 23 The Mermaid Parade
Fr June 29 The World Famous Pontani Sisters (10 pm, Sideshows by the Seashore)
Sa June 30 Supervixens (8:30 pm, Upstairs at the Museum)
Su July 8 Jorge Arevalo on The Story of Woody Guthrie (4 pm, Coney Island Museum)
Sa July 21 Killer Klowns from Outer Space (8:30 pm, Upstairs at the Museum)
Sa Sept 8 The Terror of Tiny Town (8:30 pm, Upstairs at the Museum)

Also at the Coney Island Museum: The Coney Island Hot Piano Society meets at 1 pm the first Saturday of every month and there will be an exhibit of Mermaid Parade photographs from June 8 through September 30.

And now, The World Famous Pontani Sisters at Coney Island, with music by Los Straitjackets and cameos by the usual Coney Island crew!
