Spelling Bee Follow-Up: Kavya K-R-U-S-H-E-S Kimmel!

Last night Jimmy Kimmel hosted 2009 National Spelling Bee champ Kavya Shivashankar in a kooky spelling bee where the main obstacle was the, um, unusual pronunciation of "pronunciator" Guillermo the Spelling Bee. But the other clues, such as sentences and word origins, were hard to figure, too.

In the face of such difficulties, Kavya kept her komposure and, after vainly pleading for the intervention of Jacques Bailey (the longtime Official Pronouncer for Scripps) put her awesome Sherlockian deductive powers to impressive use.
