WAR ON CHRISTMAS. In the United States, influential broadcasters have once again tried to get people riled up over a so-called "War on Christmas." Meanwhile on this day, real bloody warfare rages all around the globe.
From Iraq and Afghanistan to Sudan, Chechnya, and Colombia (but not, apparently Sri Lanka, where violence has again flared up one year after the tsunami), 16 contemporary wars are examined at the website of the 2004 BBC program "One Day of War."
Earlier this year, BAT covered the United Nations International Day of Peace. The video Peace One Day is available at Netflix.
