I think this might be a supermarket on East 86th near 1st Avenue. Gristedes?
Congratulations--you're hot! As you may know, the giant pear outside the East 86th Street Gristedes has been around since the 1980s (at the very least). The neighborhood has lost much of its German-American character, yet the pear has survived. Oh yes...this beloved green landmark has survived!
