EVEN MORE WORDS OF THE YEAR 2005. Previously in Blog About Town's Word of the Year 2005 coverage, we touched on Grant Barrett's list of important words as published in The New York Times.

Here are word lists (PDF) from Grant and two other members of the American Dialect Society: David Barnhart and Wayne Glowka.

As for me...I'm no scholar, but I'd still like to acknowledge the following words of 2005. They're not necessarily new to the year; I just think they're noteworthy for their increased prominence over the past twelve months.
