CARTOON CAPTION CONTEST CONTINUES! Let's hear it for New York! The winner of Contest #30 (mysterious figure in trenchcoat at medical consultation) is Michael Lichter of Brooklyn. He's the second top finisher in the weekly New Yorker contest to hail from the Big Apple. The caption?
"Instead of an expensive, invasive procedure, we've decided to beat it out of you."
In Contest #32 (guy in bunny suit in office environment), the nominees are in! Another New Yorker, Jon Protas of Sunnyside, is in the running with
"Well, there he goes—the first casualty of the War on Easter."
but his competition includes
"Well, at least somebody remembered about casual Good Friday."
by Tobin von der Nuell of Longmont, Colorado.

My own submission was
"You know who's replacing him? The guy in the tortoise suit."
Thanks to The Other Dave for his coaching on that one!

Contest #34 starts here.

As for the Anti-Caption Contest, it doesn't seem to have started up again at the time of this post.
