FRIDAY ON MY MIND. After several sucky-to-all-right experiences with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York, I finally hit paydirt last week with The Stepfathers, who have a gig Friday nights at 9:30. I already had a penchant for the comedy of troupe members Michael Delaney and Billy Merritt, but the chemistry of all the players was magical: They were funny even when they weren't funny! Admission is $8; obey the website's instructions about making free reservations and showing up early. The best seats are audience center right.
