THE JONATHAN AMES AND MOBY SHOW. Are you the kind of person who likes to stay up late with crazy talented bald men? If so, then The Jonathan Ames & Moby Show is for you. It's at 11 pm at Mo Pitkin's House of Satisfaction on the nights of Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23. Admission is $20.

So why should you stay out so late for a weeknight variety show presented by Jonathan Ames and Moby? "Well," Jonathan answered via email, "life is short, so why not stay up late once in a while?" Then he came up with another reason: "Also, the acts we will be presenting will be so amusing and odd that they will happily keep the audience awake." Good, because staying awake can be very key!

And perhaps the show isn't so late after all. According to Jonathan's calculations, "the show should be over by 12:30/1 and so people can be in bed by 2...if they sleep to eight, that's six hours of sleep, which for most adults isn't too bad. And if they can sleep in till 9 and get to work at 10 or 10:30, then they will have 7 hours of sleep, which is quite adequate, I think, though I'm no doctor...Personally, I rarely sleep more than 7 hours...So we will have great burlesque, magic, comedy, and music--I think it should be an entertaining combination of the performing arts."

Already booked: Mangina and his girlfriend Valmonte Sprout. Just the two fo them should be enough to keep audiences awake night after night.
