FRIDAY ON MY MIND. I went back to see The Stepfathers at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre last Friday night and got another big fix of funny. I preferred the first half of the performance, but there was a very interesting turn in the second half that impressed me a lot.

The skit revolved around an elevator operator (Michael Delaney) who had been brought up in a Skinner box. He didn't ever want to leave the box where he was now working but he was eventually persuaded to leave the box-like elevator and visit the cubicle of a woman to whom he had once given a pill-box hat. Regardless of whether it was a sheer coincidence that the pill-box hat and cubicle came up, it was fun to take note of the pattern.

There was also some business about reenactors (like Civil War reenactors) who reenact ordinary events. Soon afterward on YouTube, I saw this outstanding reenactment of a scene with Wallace Shawn from The Princess Bride.
