She's looking strong in the field of remaining competitors, as both whiz kid Bonny Jain and Texan Samir Patel faltered in Round 7. Jain's downfall was empyreumatic; Patel's was eremacausis. Go figure!
But hey--could Syracuse speller Michael Christie (konditorei, aspersion, palatalize, strychnine, auxesis, wapiti) turn out to be a spoiler?
