An excerpt from a letter, dated November 19, 1950, found during the cleaning of a long-neglected storage room holding old FBI files: "Mr. Hoover, I am only a woman but I come from what the police call a police family so I think I know a thing or two about the law enforcement. I don't know if you have seen the television but I have and I am writing to you because I have an idea for how to use the television for the law enforcement. If you can put the television all over the country and use it to show the people what the criminals look like.
