DENNY DOHERTY (1940-2007). Canadian Denny Doherty is the third member of The Mamas & The Papas to pass away, leaving behind Michelle Phillips.

Here's a clip of the group performing (or lip-synching to) "California Dreamin'" on Hullabaloo. It isn't the most dignified footage...but, if you keep an eye on lead singer Doherty when the routine goes go-go, I think you'll catch an interesting glimpse of his personality. (Donna McKechnie, Michael Bennett, and David Winters might be among the dancers.)
