RACHEL KRAMER BACKLASH. Picking up where I left off a week ago....

The prolific Rachel Kramer Bussel appears to be alive and well and still prolific after being dropped from The Village Voice.

RKB's replacements, Nora Shelley and Essie Carmichael, are "Married, Not Dead" and, it appears, inspiring many angry comments directed at the paper (which, I gather, strong investigative reporter Jarrett Murphy has left for City Limits).

All of this reminds me of the sad days when Judy McGuire got the boot from New York Press--or, as McGuire recently put it, when she "was replaced by a lady in a vinyl nurse's uniform."

Here's McGuire's latest column, as published in Seattle Weekly.

Here's the latest from McGuire's replacement.
