Is this part of the retaining wall that still stands at Castle Village on Cabrini in the 180's? Of course the other half of the wall collapsed a couple of years back and slid onto the Henry Hudson Pkwy.
I am relieved because I had given Gary a "no" answer when he asked if I had been above 110th Street. I was correct because Blockhouse #1 is south of 110th Street...but in a way that wasn't the whole truth because the little fort overlooks 110th Street--something that's actually easy to see at this particular time of year due to the seasonal foliage in the northwest "wilds" of Central Park.
If you haven't been to Blockhouse #1, pay it a visit and see the city from a new perspective. It's Number One!

Were you standing next to the stone wall surrounding the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum, formerly known as the Abigail Adams Smith Museum on E. 61st St?
Welcome back, Gary--that's some guess! It's a wrong guess, but it's impressive nonetheless--so thank you!
Well if Gary's playing then count me in! Were you at the Stonewall bar on Christopher Street?
No, Debbie, I wasn't there. That must've been someone else who looks like me.
Manhattan?
Yes, Manhattan. How could you tell?
Riverside Park?
The Potato Famine memorial in Hudson River Park?
Is this a retaining wall on the west side?
Good guess, Gary...but so far Scott is the warmest.
And I should have mentioned this before: specificity will count.

No, Dolph--it's not a retaining wall.
I'm sorry if I inadvertently misled with my previous response....
Were you at or near the Cloisters?
Sorry, Dolph--not this time!
were you above 110th St?
Sorry, Gary--not this time!
Is this in Central Park?
Yes it is, Debbie.
Is it in back of those gardens on the east side in the 100s?
Another good guess, Scott--but no.
Belvedere Castle?
No, Debbie--sorry!
Near the tennis courts just south of the North Meadow?
Blockhouse?
You said to be specific, so do i need to say blockhouse #1?
Gary is right--and I am relieved!
