FRED W. MCDARRAH (1926-2007)

Fred W. McDarrah took photos for the Village Voice and ran the paper's photo department for decades. There might not be another photographer who had a better combination of ability and access and output and longevity when it came to covering New York City culture(s) from the 1950s into the 21st century. He was here.

In January I covered the Steven Kasher Gallery's exhibition of McDarrah's work. The Voice offers samples of his work here.
