The BAT Challenge: Where Was I?

As usual, it's somewhere in the Big Apple. Anyone can play; just leave your guesses in the comments using a distinct moniker so you're not confused with any of the other players. Enjoy!

Is this at Radio City Music Hall?

David Marc Fischer said...

Sorry, Myra, it isn't at RCMH!

Were you in Manhattan?

Deborah said...

Is that part of a roman numeral?

David Marc Fischer said...

Ellen, it would not be inaccurate to say that I was in Manhattan.

David Marc Fischer said...

Deborah, I don't think it's part of a Roman numeral.

Were you Queens Museum?

David Marc Fischer said...

No, Gary, I was not Queens Museum.

Were you at the Museum of the City of New York?

David Marc Fischer said...

Sorry, Gary, I wasn't at the Museum of the City of New York either!

Were you at a museum?

David Marc Fischer said...

No, Deborah, I was not at a museum.

Were you in a tunnel?

David Marc Fischer said...

Not a tunnel, Debbie, but you're making things a little warmer here.

Subway station?

David said...

Is that a bit of graffiti I spy there? And do some of the missing words say "OF NEW YORK"?

David Marc Fischer said...

It's not a subway station, Debbie, but you're still warmish.

Dave, I'm sure you're seeing graffiti. And you're right about those three little words, too!

Penn Station?

Port Authority Bus Terminal??

Anonymous said...

Grand Central? Figured I'd round out the guessing of midtown transportation hubs.

David Marc Fischer said...

Hm. I see that my answer to Ellen never made it online. Sorry!

It was something like "Neither Penn nor Port, Ellen."

And Myra, it's not Grand Central either.

And please note that, to get the point on this one, a little specificity will be helpful.

Were you on the Manhattan side of the williamsburgh bridge?

David Marc Fischer said...

You found me, Gary!

It's about time....

What no link to the artwork, artist, what it represents, etc.??

David Marc Fischer said...

Now that you mention it, a bonus point goes to the first player to come up with a good background piece on the work.

Here I was thinking it was a mural when in fact the entire thing is Graffiti over the Williamsburg Bridge Sign! There are Flickr photos everywhere - as far as I can tell the artist(or vandal)is Deuce Seven.

David Marc Fischer said...

Ellen, I gotta give you credit--you are, after all, the only player to take a shot at the bonus point!

Congrats!!
