Recollecting Adams

New Work by Marianne R. Petit!

It's been a while since I've featured work by BAT favorite Marianne R. Petit, but I'm happy to draw attention to a new project of hers, Recollecting Adams, in which she creates video vignettes to illustrate stories related to the Massachusetts town of Adams.

The first episode comes from Eugene Michalenko.

SEE ME IN THE FUNNY PAPERS!

This weekend I make my graphic fiction debut--thanks to Marianne R. Petit!

If you're a regular reader of this blog, you know how very much I admire Marianne's work. So you can just imagine how excited I am to be involved with her Participatory Book Series project.

Not very long ago, Marianne asked people to share certain types of stories that she would then convert into graphic fiction narrative form. I made a little "My First Job" submission that she adapted for her collection Working Nine to Five, Vol. 1 (pictured), which will make its debut at the MoCCA Art Festival 2007 at the Puck Building this weekend. If you go, be sure to admire and buy it; if not, stay tuned for info on how to acquire it otherwise.

Other Blog About Town favorites scheduled to be at the MoCCA ArtFest: Bill Roundy and Mark Newgarden and Megan Montague Cash (on Saturday from 3-4 pm).
