Cartoon Caption/Anti-Caption Contest Continues!

The winner of Caption Contest 187 (Charles Barsotti's thief confronting an avenging angel) is
"Trust me—you don't want this. It's filled with mortgage-backed securities."
Francesca DelGuidice (New York, NY)
This is a big win for New York, creating a tie with longtime contest leader California for first-place!

The nominees in Caption Contest 189 (Drew Dernavich's acupuncturist with needles on skin and clothing) are:
"Gesundheit."
Bob Vogel (Portland, ME)

"Congratulations—it's a porcupine."
Simon Fraser (Philadelphia, PA)

"Most people are reassured after three or four."
Barbara Colman (Hopewell Junction, NY)
That's a second nomination for Fraser, who won Contest 21!

My loser:
"I'm sorry I'm late. I had a headache and my coat was wrinkled, but I just took care of both situations."

Dan Radosh has not been naming the winners of recent Anti-Caption Contests, but he promises he'll get back on track soon.

The winner of Caption Contest 185 (Mick Stevens's man running ashore behind fish) is
"You're in trouble when we get to the bicycles."
John Kinde (Las Vegas, NV)
This second win for Nevada keeps front-runners California and New York from advancing this week.

The winner of Anti-Caption Contest 187 (Charles Barsotti's avenging angel confronting burglar) is
"Relax, I'm not a thief. I'm just an out-of-work mime, bringing a sack of sine waves to an 'Eyes Wide Shut'-style orgy."
Tim C.
My loser:
"Good news, boss—I just robbed the Church of Satan!"
You know, I'm kinda happy with my losers this week—and I hope you are, too!

At the time of this post, Dan Radosh had not announced the results of Anti-Caption Contest 188 (P.C. Vey's keyboardist with a piano case full of water and fish).
